What this site collects
RealWeatherCheck needs no account and collects no personal information to show a city's climate normals. The city finder runs entirely in your browser, filtering the bundled city list; nothing you type there is sent anywhere. Like almost every website, the hosting and analytics infrastructure automatically logs standard technical data, IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps, for security and aggregate traffic measurement. That data is aggregated and is not used to identify anyone individually.
Cookies
Analytics cookies may be set to tell a repeat visit from a new one. Google AdSense, active on this site, also sets cookies to personalise the ads shown to you; see the Advertising section below and Google's own cookie and privacy disclosures for how that works.
Advertising and affiliate links
RealWeatherCheck earns money from display advertising served by Google AdSense. AdSense may use cookies to personalise the ads shown to you; see Google's own advertising and privacy policies for how that works. This site has no affiliate relationship today - if that changes, this paragraph and the relevant page's disclosure line are updated together, deliberately, so an affiliate relationship can never go live silently.
Third parties
Climate figures are derived from NOAA's public 30-year normals dataset; no personal data is exchanged with NOAA. Hosting is provided by Firebase (Google). No data collected here is sold to third parties.
Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, laws such as California's CCPA/CPRA and similar statutes in other US states give you the right to know what personal information a site has about you, to have it deleted, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. RealWeatherCheck does not sell or share personal information and does not knowingly collect anything beyond the standard technical logs described above, so there is little to act on, but to ask what has been logged, request deletion, or exercise any other right you have under the law that applies to you, email hello@realweathercheck.com. You can also opt out of ad personalisation directly through Google's own Ad Center or the industry-wide optout.aboutads.info tool.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.
